Rev. Mary Blocher grew up in Huntington, Indiana and graduated from Indian University with a Master’s Degree in Education. She was a Special Education Teacher for 24 years and taught many of those years in Indiana serving the Learning Disabled population in a high school setting.
In 1993 she and her husband, Marion fulfilled a lifetime dream of living and teaching on the Navajo Reservation in Newcomb, New Mexico. It was there that they learned first hand about Native American culture which was their passion.
In 2001 Rev. Mary left the reservation to prepare for ministry. In 2005 she was ordained by the Association of Unity Churches International. She went back to New Mexico to teach to the severely mentally handicapped population and children who where medically fragile and dying. At that time she also became one of the ministers at Fellowship of Spirit in Farmington, New Mexico which is associated with the International New Thought Alliance.
Then in February 2007 she became the minister at Unity Leesburg. Rev. Blocher feels especially honored and blessed to be the minister of this wonderful church in central Florida.
